Six YouAnd measurements and scope of application
YouAnd has a modular structure, which makes it possible to combine different measurement fields. This makes the instrument suitable not only for people who work in teams, but also for other contexts and applications. This includes people who do not (yet) work in an organization (for recruitment and selection), people who have to work in the tension between the wishes of their own organization and the needs of the customer, directors and supervisors:
- YouAnd Organisation for effectiveness, culture and collaboration
- YouAnd Teams for improving teams and collaboration
- YouAnd Career for recruitment & selection and career development
- YouAnd Services for improving service provision
- YouAnd Governance for directors and supervisors
- YouAnd The Why for more complex issues within boardrooms
YouAnd Organisation
People make organizations and organizations make people. They influence each other. What starts as spontaneous cooperation becomes an organization over time, and then management and organizational culture come.
Organizations make demands on people. People also make demands on organizations. They prefer to work for an organization that suits them.
But when do people and organizations fit together? And what role do organizational culture and management play in this?
To answer these questions, we use the motivations of people and the culture of organizations.
YouAnd Organisation is suitable for: organizational questions regarding effectiveness, culture and collaboration.
YouAnd Career
This measurement shows which work suits someone and which work definitely does not. It shows the complex interplay of what people want, in which role they have ended up or will end up, what they dislike and what their learning needs are.
What drives someone, and which job or career suits them? YouAnd Career was created to help HR professionals and
to help (potential) employees think about and make choices about the match between motivational patterns and the type of work that suits them.
If you do things that fit your motivations, it gives you energy. You then do what you want wonderfully. Conversely, you lose energy if you have to do things that you are not at all motivated to do. In general, people are happiest and most productive when their work fits their motivations.
That is a simple rule, but not an easy one, because what actually fits? It is a question that is relevant at the beginning of a working life, but also in later phases. People change, work too. So also during the career questions arise about the match between person and work. Not only for the employee, but also for the employer and the HR professional.
YouAnd Career is suitable for: recruitment and selection, job counseling, mid-career questions and job rotation.
YouAnd Services
This measurement is made for people and teams who provide services, inside or outside their own organization. The theme of the sometimes conflicting demands of the customer and management always plays a role.
Services shows what people want and do, but also what the customer and management ask of them. Do these factors match each other in such a way that you can be a good service organization?
Is an organization truly focused on providing services? YouAnd Services shows how organizations fulfill their customers' needs. And where improvements are possible.
This measurement shows what drives people and what role they play, but also what the customer asks for and the management of the organization wants. To what extent do these factors match each other in such a way that there is a good service organization?
YouAnd Services is suitable for improving service organizations or departments. The measurement provides an individual result; the individual results can also be used as a building block for group results.
YouAnd Governance
YouAnd Governance is made for directors and supervisors and is extremely suitable for evaluations and retreats. What are the drivers of the individuals, what dynamics can be expected between and within the two levels, and how is the organization, its raisons d'être and the risks viewed?
The results, both individually and at group level, provide much food for thought and self-reflection.
YouAnd The Why
YouAnd the Why helps organizations search for their reason for existence, or the Why, as Simon Sinek calls it. These reasons vary from creating prosperity to making the earth more beautiful, and from preserving what is good to developing new things. A clear Why enables organizations to look critically at their activities, and offers a guideline for their actions. What suits us, and what does not?
The measurement results of YouAnd the Why show how staff members think about the raison d'être of the organization, and to what extent the reality of the organization matches this. The measurement shows at group level to what extent staff members agree with each other. After all, it is possible that there are completely different views on the Why, but that is also crucial information for those who are involved in this matter.
YouAnd the Why is suitable for: starting strategic and mission trajectories. The instrument generates individual and group results.
YouAnd Teams
YouAnd teams is designed to see how teams deal with the different demands placed on them. We see the team's drivers, but also the pressures the team is exposed to, and therefore in which aspects team members have to adapt.
The pressure to adapt comes from three different directions. First, there is the work that has to be done by team members. Some types of work allow people to give it their own interpretation, and then the pressure is relatively low. But there are also types of work that leave very little room for the person who does it. This can be due to the nature of the work, but also because there are many rules and controls involved. When there are large differences between the drivers and the type of work, a lot of energy is lost.
The second form of pressure comes from managers. If they want completely different things than the team members, then there is a certain annoyance with corresponding loss of energy. In themselves, differences of this type are very common because managers often (have to) steer on aspects that the team members find less important. However, the way of steering does matter.
The third form of pressure is possibly the most interesting. Because the team culture itself can also exert great pressure on employees. The test result sometimes shows in a surprising way to what extent the team and the team members fit in with the culture that they themselves maintain. That can be an energizing start of change.
How does it work?
Our motivational methodology works with an online test that can be completed within 15 minutes and downloaded immediately.
To measure and map this, YouAnd offers a platform of online measurements to help people and organizations excel, grow and develop. Our measurements help with the choices that are important for personal and professional productivity and growth.
Individuals receive a comprehensive report with a personal explanation.
Managers, consultants, coaches and/or trainers receive an extensive group analysis with customized advice, tailored to the question, culture and context of the organization. Based on this, we draw up a plan of action with practical interventions, the impact of which we regularly measure with a progress monitor.
